How to Know Your PC’s Motherboard BIOS Version in Windows 8

In some situation, you probably have to know the version of the BIOS which is installed on your PC’s motherboard. But, do you know how to check this out? There are many ways to get that information. Step1: get the Charm bar by press Win + C keyboards and click Search, type “regedit” in the search bar.

Step2: Then click the search result.

step3: You will be asked whether you want to make some changes, click Yes.

Step 3: once you enter the Registry, navigate to My Computer -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> HARDWARE -> DESCRIPTION -> System
Then you will see two keys on the right panel, which called SystemBiosDate and SystemBiosVersion. That is the information you need.
