How to Remove Lock Screen in Windows 8

It seems that Lock screen is just useful for tablets users and it does not have any special things to desktop or laptop users. It may make desktop and laptop users annoyed because this requires users to perform more steps to unlock their computer. If are one of them who don’t like this lock screen feature, you can disable it with the help of the following tutorial.

Method to disable the lock screen via Group Policy Editor

Step 1: hit Win + R at the same time to open the Run dialog. When it appears, type “gpedit.msc” in the box and hit Enter

Step 2: now you get the Group Policy Editor, then, navigate to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Control Panel -> Personalization

Step 3: please look for “Do not display the lock screen” option in the right pane and double click on it.

Step 4: set its value to Enabled state, and click OK
