How to Remove Tile Notifications on Logout in Windows 8

On Windows 8 Start Screen, it consists of tiles that allow users to use an associated app. And those tiles commonly display related notifications about some new information from that particular tiles application. For Instance, the Weather program would show latest weather information, and the Stocks program would display the newest stock quotes. The following screenshot will show you those examples:

However there is a way to remove them from your tiles apps. And after you follow this guide, you can make the Start Screen look like the following:

Step 1: type “Group Policy” in the Start Screen and then click on the Settings

Step 2: Click Edit Group Policy link to open the Group Policy editor

Step 3: navigate to this path: User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Start Menu and Taskbar

Step 4: Double-click the Clear history of tile notifications on exit to open its properties

Step 5: select: Enabled and click Apply to save the changes
