How to Rename the Hard Drives on Your Windows 8

The default names of your hard drives are always “Local Drive (C:/)”, “Local Drive (D:/)”, and “Local Drive (E:/)”. But you can rename them easily, which will help you to recognize them and find out the data that you are searching for quickly and efficiently. For instance, you can rename one of your hard drives with “Films”, which can be used particularly to store some videos. Now, you can follow the tutorial to rename them.

Step 1: Open the File Explorer, and then click on “Computer”, which is on the left side of the window.

Step 2: Right-click on the hard drive that you desire to rename and choose Rename


Step 3: Type the name you want into the contact and press Enter to save the changes
