Published July 4, 2014 by Admin

It is known that when you try to install an app from your Windows Store, this app will definitely pin to the Start Screen automatically without permission. However, this post will display a guide to configure Windows such that it doesn’t pin the Tiles of the new apps to Start Screen. Please keep reading.

Step 1: hit Windows+R keys at the same time to get the Run box. Then type gpedit.msc in Run dialog box and hit Enter.

Step 2: Then the Local Group Policy Editor will be opened. Now go to Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar

Local Group Policy Editor

Step 3: Look at the right pane of the window, double click on Pin apps to Start when installed

Local Group Policy Editor - Copy

Step 4: select Enabled, then click Apply and click OK.

Now reboot your system to see if the changes take affect or not.
